Learning Outcomes:
have a broad view of machine learning and neural networks, including training neural networks and optimisation;
understand how programs can capture and process audio and video signals, and how to extract information;
focus on text-based processing for rule-based and statistical approaches to natural language processing;
become familiar with the foundations of agent-based approaches to software design, decision making and problem solving including under uncertainty;
understand the ethics of gathering and processing data, and why it is important to consider issues of data security.
